Graeme Matthewson, M.D.

Meet Dr. Graeme Matthewson, a fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at NanoKnee® helping patients move past shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle injuries and get back to the life they love.

A Sports Medicine Specialist Joins NanoKnee®

Dr. Graeme Matthewson is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with expertise in shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, and shoulder reconstruction. He trained at the UCLA-affiliated Southern California Orthopedic Institute under some of the field's leading shoulder surgeons, and now brings that same precision to NanoKnee®, helping patients get back to the sports and activities they love.

Professional Philosophy

Dr. Matthewson believes surgery is only one part of recovery. Lasting results depend on open communication between the patient, the surgical team, and physical therapy. When surgery is the right path, he favors minimally invasive techniques tailored to each patient, built to shorten recovery time and lower the risk of complications, an approach that mirrors NanoKnee®'s own commitment to smaller incisions and faster returns to daily life.

Personal Life

Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, Dr. Matthewson found his way to orthopedic surgery after his own powerlifting and hockey injuries introduced him to the field.
